Their Done...

I can't believe how fast these little gems flew off the needles. I was going to take a picture of the socks OTN but I never stopped long enough to do that, LOL....
I want to make more, but I have to get back to my socks, its still cold here in Northern New England, although it is supposed to be in the 80's on Friday, so I better get cracking. I am up to the gussett on the SS so it shouldn't take too long, a couple of good movies should do it!

New Project!!!

I am working on a pair of baby socks and a hat for my SO's sisters new baby that is due in a few months! I know its going to be hot but babies need socks and hats... they do... really...

I will post pictures soon. I have one sock done and the other is OTN, the hat is next, Urusla (that is the name I picked for the baby) is going to look wonderful in them!

On My Needles

I was thinking about it and I wanted to talk about the projects on needles right now. I am working on a pair of socks for myself out of Sockotta yarn on size 3 needles. I am following a Lion Brand Magic Stripes. Its a quick basic pattern, something to get my "feet" wet on again.

I'll post a list of the socks I want to make in a while. I'm the type of person that works best when there is a list. Manipulation of the list is almost as much fun as making the list, LOL.

I love Socks

I just started this blog because I wanted to track my progress while making socks. I thought that it would be fun to keep a photo journal of the projects I take on!

I knit on needles and I also have a Passap Knitting Machine. I do the big items (sweaters, Afghans and sometimes hats when I am in a hurry.)

This fall I will be teaching a few friends how to knit. Any one with ideas on what to start with besides a scarf would be appreciated! One project that I thought of was a headband done in a basketweave pattern. It would be quick and they would have knitted something that they can build on. A plain headband - to a headband with ear flaps - to a hat with ear flaps. Hummm.... now that I think of it that is the way I will be going!
